Hong Kong dollar – the official currency of Hong Kong. It is subdivided into 100 cents. The international currency code of the Hong Kong dollar is HKD.

The Hong Kong dollar is the ninth most traded currency in the world.

The currency has existed since 1863.

Banknotes in circulation are in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 dollars.

Coins are in denominations of 10, 20 and 50 cents, and of 1, 2, 5 and 10 dollars.
